About
Us
In the middle of 2002, the Hon'ble Chief
Minister, Govt. of West Bengal, in course of holding a meeting
with the members of the National Chamber of Commerce &
Industries, had welcomed the entrepreneurs to setup tourism
based Industries at Jalpaiguri town and in the said meeting, the
Hon'ble Chief Minister had assured that all sorts of active
support and incentives would be given to such entrepreneurs who
would come forward. Having regard to the said announcement of
the Hon'ble Chief Minister, our Promoter-Directors were
encouraged and ultimately our Chairman viz., Mr. Gautam Das
along with his N.R.I. relatives came forward by taking up a Star
Categorized Hotel Project (Tourism Unit) followed by promotion
of a body corporate. On their promotion, our company had been
incorporated on the 18th day of July, 2003 with the main object
to carry on the Tourism based business and to construct,
develop, run and maintain hotels, gardens, inns, lodging
centers, motels and to arrange package tours, travel lings, to
deal in foreign exchange, etc. Before taking up the project, we
had engaged the Tourism Corporation of India Ltd. (T.F.C.I.)'S
consultancy Division. We have learnt from them that T.F.C.I. had
made market survey on the point of market potential assessment
for Tourism Project and Techno Economy Feasibility studies and
according to them there is lot of opportunities for inflow of
high-class customers at Jalpaiguri and there is huge potentials
for Tourism Development basing on Jalpaiguri town. Our
consultant ultimately prepared a project for a new tourism
circuit and our company submitted the said project to the
Ministry of Tourism (Govt. of India) for registration and
approval m our name. The Ministry of Tourism (Govt. of India)
considering the project and scheme prepared by our consultant
viz., Tourism Corporation of India Ltd. (T.F.C.I.)'S consultancy
Division has approved a new Tourism Circuit basing on Jalpaiguri
town covering the Dooars (Jalpaiguri)- Eastern Himalaya (Eastern
Darjeeling adjoining to Dooars)- South-eastern Sikkim - Southern
Bhutan which has been named as Jalpaiguri Hotelier's Tourism
Circuit and we further state that our project has been approved
by the India Tourism (Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India) and
we are the only approved concern of India Tourism at this
circuit based at Jalpaiguri. We have different hotels in the
district of Jalpaiguri and in 2005 we successfully opened our 2
(**) star categorized hotel project styled as 'Hotel de l'
Pretom' and now it has been sought for up gradation to 4 (****)
category. It was scheduled that The Hon'ble Chief Minister,
Govt. of West Bengal would inaugurate our this project on the
16th February, 2005 but on account his very busy schedule during
the relevant period the Hon'ble Chief Minister could not
inaugurate on the scheduled date but by letter No. 146 Pscm
dated 11/02/2005 the Hon'ble Chief Minister wished the success
of our Project and the Chief Minister's Secretariat then
approached the Hon'ble Cabinet Ministers of West Bengal to
participate in the program. Thereafter, on the scheduled date
i.e on the 16th day February, 2005 (Wednesday) Mr. Dinesh
Chandra Dakua, the former Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge, Department

The Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India while giving our
company an approval of our tourism circuit had formed a land
mark opinion in the enquiry report and the operative portion
of the same has been noted down from our end on the
permission of the said Directorate which is being quoted as
under: -
... There is scope for this new Tourism Circuit of
Jalpaiguri Hoteliers & Trading Pvt. Ltd. basing on
Jalpaiguri town covering the Dooars (Jalpaiguri)- Eastern
Himalaya (Eastern Darjeeling adjoining to Dooars)- Sikkim-
Bhutan and Jalpaiguri town can draw thousands of tourists
for its cultures, traditions, village life styles, natural
views of famous rivers such as Teesta, Jaldakha and Forests
like Garumara, Chapramari, etc. Jalpaiguri is well connected
with the all corners of India and the Jalpaiguri comprises a
paradise on earth. It is one of the very few places left in
the country where nature is so lavish of her green
facilities. The river Teesta and her innumerable tributaries
crisscross the unending stretch of virgin forests. Looking
like molten silver against the setting sun, beautiful motor
able roads cut through the deep forests rich with wild life,
mauve hills stand at the end of graceful plains. The forest
looks the way the unknown birds in them sing. The melody of
the groves forces tourists to surrender the sophistries
themselves so carefully curveted in Jalpaiguri. After a
day's journey through the splendid scenery, a happy twilight
will bid a tourist retires in the cozy comfort of luxurious
log cabins, and leave for them a million dreams of the
glorious morrow, that is the Jalpaiguri. A land that loads
tourists with the gifts of nature. To the north of
Jalpaiguri the East Himalayas situates as a natural
backdrop. A vast textule of dense forests teeming with
wildlife, unending tea gardens, babbling rivers,
interspersed with sleepy or busy settlements, constitute
this fascinating tourist destination ..."
